Australian online travel agent, Direct Flights International, has discount fares to India with premium airline, Emirates, from $1079 return ex Perth, and $1294 return from the east coast, including taxes.

The new fares are on sale until November 30, 2008 for travel until June 30, 2009 from Australia to 10 cities across India - Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Trivandrum
