EZ Press Release  -- June 19, 2012 West Coast Dental, a leading group of multi-specialty dental care practices in Southern California, supported the YMCA 2012 Healthy Kids Day by participating in events at the Hollywood Wilshire and Orange locations. Celebrated annually, Healthy Kids Day encourages kids and their parents to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. YMCA locations across the nation held events to address gaps in health education. West Coast Dental supported the Healthy Kids Day 2012 by educating kids and their families on the importance of good overall health, specifically oral health.

Kitty Gordillo, Director of Development at Hollywood Wilshire YMCA, said about West Coast Dental’s participation: “Your organization’s participation made this event the huge success that we knew it could be. We’re pleased to report that we had over 1,000 children and families attend!” Statistics also suggest that over 1,000 children and families attended the Healthy Kids Day 2012 event at the Hollywood Wilshire location; and around 100 kids and families attended the function at the Orange location.

At the National Healthy Kids Day 2012 events, West Coast Dental offered oral health education to over 1,100 families and children. They also distributed toothbrushes and gift cards for free whitening, x-rays and exams to event attendees. Also, since the events were scheduled so close to Mother’s Day, West Coast Dental distributed gift cards to Daniel’s Jewelers as well. West Coast Dental employees also educated attendees on the practice’s interest-free finance plan, which patients can use to complete their treatment.
