Amherst, Wisconsin, August 25, 2016: H.O. Wolding is pleased to announce their founder, Herbert Wolding, will be turning 104 on October 15, 2016. Wolding started the company in 1935, by hiring a small group of drivers. He would often remain in the office into the early morning hours to ensure all of them returned home safely.

Despite being over 100 years old, Wolding still drives himself into work several times a week. While he can’t do all the work he previously did, he still enjoys driving around the yard and, in his words, “kicking some tires.” He has worked hard to build this company into one that treasures safety, service and community stewardship. To this day, the company holds to these standards, making Wolding proud.

Wolding began this company with just one Chevy truck and a trailer made at home. It has now grown into a large national trucking company with more than 330 drivers. Despite their growth, they have continued to be a family-oriented company. In addition, Wolding treats every driver as a member of his own family, often introducing himself as “grandpa” to his new drivers.

Anyone interested in learning about the founder’s 104th birthday and the history of the company can find out more by visiting the H.O. Wolding website or by calling 1-800-288-1972.
