To be precise, KSW took home the Silver Award for Commercial General Contractor over $10 million in the Projects of Distinction 2018 Award and received ABC’s Honorable Mention for the Vennebu project.

The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) exists to support performance-based, or merit-based, construction. Beginning in 1950 with six Baltimore contractors, ABC now numbers in over 22,000 national firms and 850 more in the Wisconsin Chapter. ABC selected KSW Construction for their dazzling Hyatt Place Hotel in Verona, WI. At 92,000 square feet, the hotel uses Eco-span floor joist systems and prefabricated bearing in its walls. Composite steel and concrete systems comprise the Upper Decks, while aluminum and glass windows, brick, stone, EIFS and veneer make up the exterior. The KSW team completed the project through severe winter weather and even left room for a future convention center skyway.

KSW Construction Vennebu Hill Wedding and Event Center, another major architectural feat, received honorable mention. The 16,000 sq ft venue took nine months to build and will host countless future weddings in its 2-story rustic wedding barn accommodating up to 350 people.
