Lora Burns is a Texas native who grew up in Odessa and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997. She currently works for Bank of America, where she serves as a Senior Vice President and has 25 years of tenure. Lora has always had a strong desire to own her own business in the service industry and when she recently spotted a taxiMom van advertising franchise opportunities, she didn’t hesitate. Within 24 hrs. she had a meeting set up to speak with a taxiMom representative. When she learned that taxiMom is a subscription-based transportation service providing a safe alternative to bussing kids from home to school, she knew the rapid growth in Anna over the past 20 years from a town of less than 1000 residents in 2003 to 20,000 residents today made it the ideal place to open a new taxiMom. Lora decided it was also the perfect business model for her and immediately started the process of opening her taxiMom franchise to serve her local community. Robby Burns is also a native Texan who grew up in Plano and graduated in 1984 from Plano East High School. He went on to earn an associate degree from Richland College in 1988 and later attended Seminary School at Criswell College. He spent 15 years serving the residents of Collin County as a Sergeant in the Collin Count jail and a reserve officer for Farmersville PD. Robby says it is his past law enforcement career that has taught him how to connect with people from all walks of life. He loves people and loves spending time studying the Bible. He is excited to get an opportunity to meet more residents of his local community as he drives children to and from school.
